The Los Angeles security firm of Mireles & Associates specializes in safeguarding people, assets, and property. We believe that the need for highly qualified private security experts has never been greater than it is today in the 21st century.

 

Mireles & Associates takes an integrated and progressive approach to security that is implemented by professionals with years of training and experience. Our security team is comprised of law enforcement trained personnel and prior service military veterans. We use the latest in technology, training methods, and resources to provide the highest level of security. Our staff of highly-trained professionals continuously exceeds the expectations of our clients, who include fortune 500 companies, corporations with specialized needs, law firms, insurance agencies, foreign dignitaries, and high-profile celebrities.

Mireles & Associates is a licensed security provider in the State of California, registered by Bureau of Security & Investigative Services, Department of Consumer Affairs. Our firm holds memberships in the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).

 

A History of World Class Service:

In 1997, Mireles & Associates was created as a security consulting firm that assisted businesses in security management and covert investigations. From fraud to embezzlement, our firm initiated investigations into complex white-collar crime. Over the course of the next ten years, we saved our clients millions of dollars in losses.

 

We became know as problem solvers and began to branch our services into other areas. We consulted with human resources directors in developing state-of-the-art employment screening programs and provided our in-depth security interviews.  By identifying the risks, we save our client’s headaches and hard-earned money.

 

Always moving forward, Mireles & Associates formed relationships with security experts and companies domestically and abroad. Based on the methods and practices unique to our firm, we began performing threat assessments and designing threat management plans for numerous outside security firms. Our ability to conduct extensive research and analysis of the data allowed companies to make informed decisions. 

 

After several request for further security services we made the decision to expand our company into a full-service security agency. In 2008, Mireles & Associates formed the Protective Services Group to provide direct security to clients with specialized needs.

 

About Mark Mireles:

Mr. Mireles received a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice Studies and has an Advanced Certificate from the Commission on Police Officers Standards & Training from the State of California. He has thousands of hours of training in security procedures and protocols. Since 1997, he has supervised hundreds of operations and provided security consulting to numerous clients.

 

Mr. Mireles has appeared on television reality programs, such as American Justice, and he was a personality on the Lifetime Network where he has outlined high-profile crimes.

 

Mr. Mireles’ distinguished American law enforcement record is highly respectable as he is one of the most decorated police officers in the history of the Los Angeles Police Department:

 

• He is a two-time recipient of the Medal of Valor, the highest award for bravery in the Los Angeles Police Department (2001 and 2006).
• He received the California Governor’s Medal of Valor for heroism by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (2007).
• He received honorable mention from TOPCOP (2007).
• 2008 recipient of the Carnegie Medal.
• He has received citations from the U.S. congress and Senate as well as three California Governors.
• He was the Veteran of Foreign Wars Law Enforcement Officer of the Year (2008).
• He received the Medal of Distinction from the California peace Officers Association (2006). 
• He has received letters of commendation from the Los Angeles District Attorney and City Attorneys Officers, the L.A. City Counsel, the L.A. Police Commission, the L.A. Mayor’s Office, the California State Assemby and Legislators, and Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
• As a renowned defensive tactics trainer and martial artist, he has taught hundreds of law enforcement officers Arrest & Control methods and police survival techniques.
• Mr. Mireles served with distinction in the United States Marine Corps

 

Mr. Mireles is considered a world-class martial arts instructor who has trained in numerous fighting systems since 1977. He is the author of several books on the combative systems and has been published numerous times in Black Belt Magazine. He regularly consults with international high-risk security firms as a subject matter expert in defensive tactics and agent/principle safety.

 

Mark Mireles is the founder and Director of Security & Consulting of Mireles & Associates. He is available to his clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week and oversees all aspects of the firm. Mr. Mireles develops all security protocols and closely supervises all accounts. He is available for consultation by appointment only.
